Attending ICWE
Venue
The conference is organised by the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 & INSA Lyon on the LyonTech-La Doua Campus in Villeurbanne.
The ICWE 2026 sessions will take place at the Bibliothèque de l’Université Claude Bernard (BU Lyon1)
The campus is located north of Villeurbanne, near the Parc de la Tête d’Or, and is easily reached by tram, metro, or bicycle.
Getting to Lyon
By Air
Lyon–Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS) offers direct flights to over 70 international destinations including Montreal, Dubai, and most major European capitals.
The Rhônexpress tram connects the airport to Lyon Part-Dieu station in about 30 minutes.
By Train
Lyon’s two main stations — Part-Dieu and Perrache — are connected to major French and European cities via high-speed TGV:

From Part-Dieu, take tram T1 or T4 to reach the conference venue in ≈ 20 minutes.
By Car
Lyon is linked by major highways (A6, A7, A42).
Parking on campus is limited to staff, but the nearby Cité Internationale complex offers 3 underground car parks (3350 spaces).
By Bike
Lyon’s Vélo’v public bike network includes 340 stations city-wide, several near the La Doua campus.

2 Funiculars
A single ticket (€2) is valid for 1 hour across all modes. Daily and multi-trip options are also available.
Visa Information
France is part of the Schengen Area.
EU/Schengen citizens can enter with national ID.
Citizens of non-Schengen countries may need a visa.
Short-term stays (≤ 30 days) are visa-free for many countries including Australia, Canada, Japan, USA, and others.
